In 1847 the members of the LDS church came into the utah vally which brought pressure for the shoshone indians becasue they had to compet for resources with the mormons. In 1875 after the bear river massacere the shoshone indians converted to mormonism and settled on the church land a farm near Corrine, Utah where the shoshone used to live. The farm they lived at was short lived because federal officials responded to some unfounded info that the shoshones were planning on an attack on Corrine so they expelled them form the farm and tryed to force them into a newly founded Fort Hall which was a new indian reservation in Idaho. Only a few of the shoshoes moved to the reservation but most of them wanted to stay in there home land and were forced to find to search for alternative means to secure a land base. Along to fend for them self.
