December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks changes the world. She stayed comfortably in her seat on that bus ad didn't move a muscle. This was just the beginning of an entire movement to unite the United States. Shortly after Rosa's stand others began to take a stand as well, and court cases were the outcome. Eventually the separate but equal laws (nick named Jim Crow Laws) came into effect. Thus manifesting segregation.
African Americans becan to grow tired of the ridiculous Jim Crow Laws so they began to organize non-violent sit-ins to influence desegregation.
But segregation wasn't the only issue. African Americans were till denied their civil rights.
