The U.S thought that we were on good terms with Japan. On Deecember 7, 1941, six Japanese aircraft carriers, two battleships, and several other warships attacked Hawaii. On that same day sank or damaged eight battleships, three cruisers, four destroyers, six vessles, and destroyed 188 airplanes. also 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 were injured.
