The National War Leader Board



The National War Labor Board was an agency created in 1918 by President Woodrow Wilson, composed of representatives from business and labor. The purpose of the NWLB was to end labor disputes and strikes that would disrupt the war production. They made agreements with the companies and the workers union's agreed to stop strikes. The NWLB convinced companies to adopt and 8 hour workday and increase wages.
