In the 1930s, the Great Depression caused high unemployment, business failtures, and farm foreclouses.
Many people lost their homes and savings and became willing to vote for politicians who offered new

in the American economy. By 1932 over 25% of American workers were unemployed, even charity couldn't
help everybody that was in need. Living through the hard times in America was really hard, so Americans
prefer entertainment that led then to escape from their worries. Eventually that make movies, and radios more popular throught America.
